An English cottage garden, seen through a medieval stone arch.
Peering through the medieval arch from St Denys priory into the garden at Tudor House and Garden, Southampton

On Monday I met up with some online friends who were in Southampton for the weekend. One I have known for a while and we had somehow not ever managed to meet up in person. It was great to finally meet them. Discovering that the Robin’s Nest Emporium (and more importantly the great café they had) had closed down, I took them to the café at Tudor House and Garden. Not the best food, but a lovely location. I need to find a new lunchtime place to eat in the city centre, where the food is good and not too expensive. Any suggestions welcome!

I am a wanderer and a wonderer.
